  • New Patient Appointment: $150
  • Return Patient Appointment: $100

 

Yi Jing Lifestyle Guidance: 

  • 1 Hour Session: $200
  • 2 Hour Session: $300

Please be aware that these appointments take pre-appointment time to prepare detailed information for you. These appointments will be charged the full amount of the fee for any cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows.

 

Chinese Medicine Coaching

  • New Patient Appointment: $150
  • Return Patient Appointment: $100

 

If your treatment plan includes Chinese Herbal Therapy in conjunction with any of these appointments, this will be priced according to the cost of herbs and will be a separate charge from the appointment cost. This process will always be discussed with you and recommended on a case by case basis. 

Acupuncture & Insurance

A tricky history

Thank you for considering trying acupuncture and its related techniques for your healthcare needs. Unfortunately, the insurance companies are still trying to figure out how best to work with acupuncturists and as a single person business owner, it is not very friendly.

Due to the involved workload of discovering what services your insurance plan might cover and how many treatments might be covered, it is neither time nor cost efficient to currently accept. Insurance companies tend to be quite restrictive in their coverage, so even if your plan says that you have it, they may only cover a few diagnoses and most will limit the amount of treatment sessions they will cover.

Although it is delightful that acupuncture has made it to our mainstream medical community, there is still a ways to go for true coverage.

Insurance Alternatives

  1. Superbill. If you have insurance coverage for acupuncture, you can submit a Superbill to attempt reimbursement directly back to you from your insurance company. Please ask for this paperwork if needed. Patients often successfully recoup money for treatments if their insurance coverage is broad. 
  2. These treatments do qualify under most healthcare plans for HSA and FSA funds. You will need to check with your insurance company to ask regarding your plan. Again, many people find this option useful for managing costs, especially if they enjoy the use of acupuncture as part of their ongoing wellness routine.
